Kaylee has been described as empathetic, compassionate, and a strong listener, qualities that inspired her to pursue a career in psychotherapy and supporting others through life’s challenges. Her passion for therapy was ignited through her own counselling journey, where she experienced firsthand the power of a warm, non-judgmental space. She brings experience supporting clients from the 2SLGBTQIA+ community and those navigating minority stress, helping with anxiety, depression, OCD, phobias, trauma, relationship challenges, self-esteem concerns, life transitions, and histories of suicidal ideation and self-harm
Kaylee takes an integrative, trauma-informed approach to therapy, drawing on evidence-based modalities such as Internal Family Systems, Somatic Experiencing, Narrative Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), and mindfulness. She also incorporates parts work and person-centered techniques, tailoring her approach to the needs of each individual client. Her work is grounded in a feminist and anti-oppressive lens, acknowledging the impact of systemic stress on health and well-being.
She is passionate about creating a supportive, collaborative space where clients feel understood, empowered, and encouraged to cultivate self-compassion, develop coping strategies, and explore meaning and purpose. Kaylee works with clients to deepen self-awareness, build resilience, and navigate life’s challenges in ways that feel authentic and sustainable. She is committed to ongoing professional development and continuing to expand her training in her areas of interest to best support her clients.
